Weather Update: North and Central India is in the grip of heat, know how the weather will be in other states including Delhi-NCR

Temperatures are increasing continuously in many parts of the country. In March this year, the fierce heat march continued across the country. According to the Meteorological Department, severe heat is expected in some parts of Delhi. The Meteorological Department has told that the maximum temperature in Delhi on Friday i.e. today can be 40 degrees Celsius.

 

Most of the cities of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, and East Rajasthan recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius at the end of March. This is the first time. In the last decade, the mercury has generally crossed 40 degrees Celsius in March in some cities of western Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, Andhra, and Karnataka.

 

Indian Meteorological Department scientist RK Jenamani said, normally in western Rajasthan, Gujarat, Vidarbha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha, the temperature used to cross 40 degrees Celsius for two-three days in March, but this time there is an extraordinary situation. The temperature in Delhi after March 15 is 5-10 degrees above normal. In Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal from March 19 to 27, the temperature was 9-10 degrees above normal. The heatwave occurred in the plains between March 13 and 19. The second round of heatwave started on March 27 and may last till April 2. Hot winds will continue for the next 15 days.

 

Delhiites will get relief from the heatwave for the next two days

 

Due to the change in wind direction, the people of Delhi will get some relief from the heatwave for the next two days. After this, you will have to face the scorching heat again. The sky will remain clear on Friday as well. Wind speed is likely to be 20 to 30 kmph. The weather pattern will change in Punjab from Friday. People can get relief from the wind blowing.

 

Heatwaves likely in these states

 

According to meteorologists, the wind direction will be from the northwest direction. The heat started making trouble in Jammu as the temperature reached 36 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury can reach 40 degrees in the first week of April. No chance of rain at the moment. There is no chance of relief from the heat in Himachal Pradesh yet. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no change in the weather for the next four days. The heat will increase as the sun shines. Possibility of loss of moisture in the ground. There is a possibility of a strong heatwave in many districts.

 

Know how the weather will be in UP

 

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a severe heatwave in western UP till April 3. It can also increase by two to three days. Because of 'heat low' (surface air) in Barmer, Bikaner, and Jaisalmer of Rajasthan, a heatwave has been predicted till April 5. Meteorologists predict that the heatwave will continue till the first week of April. An Alert has also been issued.
