The first meeting of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) was concluded recently. In this meeting, many important decisions were taken under the leadership of its new chairman BR Naidu. It was decided in the meeting that a panel of experts would be formed to suggest an action plan to reduce the darshan time in Lord Venkateshwara temple to three hours. Apart from this, political rhetoric will be banned there.

Apart from this, many other major decisions like the purchase of better quality ghee for making laddus and the transfer of non-Hindus were taken in this meeting. Let us tell you that TTD is the board that manages Sri Venkateswara Temple of Andhra Pradesh. This meeting was also the first meeting after the Telugu Desam Party-led NDA came to power in June.

Attempts to control the crowd with AI and other methods

TTD Executive Officer J Shyamala Rao said that they want to find ways to reduce the waiting time for the darshan of Lord Venkateshwara, which sometimes goes up to 20 hours. For this purpose, TTD will form a panel of experts to suggest ways to reduce and streamline the crowd of devotees using AI and other technology.

This big decision was taken regarding non-Hindu employees.

Rao said that TTD has also decided to write a letter to the state government to make appropriate decisions regarding non-Hindus working in Tirumala. According to officials, TTD wants the employees of non-Hindu religion working in the temple to be sent to other government institutions or they should be offered VRS. Officials said that efforts are being made to ensure that all the employees of the temple are in line with the religious and spiritual values of TTD.

The Darshan quota will be abolished, and rhetoric also not be allowed.

The board has also decided to abolish the 'Darshan' quota of AP Tourism Corporation of various states after a thorough investigation of complaints about irregularities in the issuance of special entry tickets. It was also discussed in the meeting that politicians make statements or speeches after praying in the temple, in such a situation, the TTD board has banned such statements or speeches in Tirumala regardless of political affiliation. Rao said, "Legal action will be taken against such people as well as those who promote them if needed."

Money will be withdrawn from private banks and deposited in government banks.

Amid the concerns of some board members, TTD has also decided to withdraw all its deposits from private banks and deposit them in nationalized banks. Apart from this, TTD is likely to issue tenders again for the purchase of better quality ghee to prepare Prasad including the famous laddu. The TTD board has also approved a 10 percent increase in cash rewards for employees who provide special services during the annual Brahmotsavam held from October 4 to 13 this year.
