The World Health Organization (WHO) on Wednesday expressed concern about the circumstances of the corona epidemic in North Korea. The ruler of North Korea has been accused of hiding the correct figures related to the epidemic from the world. Actually, after receiving the first case of the coronavirus in North Korea, Kim Jong Un announced a complete lockdown in the country.
A few days later, the state media quoted Kim Jong as saying that there are very few cases of corona in the country. After this, the government there had also given relaxation in the lockdown. But now this statement of WHO has raised question marks on Kim Jong's claim.
More than 3 lakh cases in two weeks
Supporting the government's claim, Korean state media KCNA said that in two weeks after the first case in North Korea, fever cases had exceeded 3 lakh. Then the cases began to decrease, but WHO Emergency Chief Michelle Ryan said – We do not have such a tool to collect the figures of North Korea. So that the correct information about the epidemic can come to us.
Ryan said – Due to a lack of correct information, we are not able to guess the ground reality. We are working closely with North Korea's neighbors South Korea and China for more data. So that we can get to know the real situation there. KCNA has also not given the exact figure of the patients who died.
North Korea has rejected all proposals to take WHO's vaccine
Before the virus spread in North Korea, China and the WHO had made several proposals for a Kovid vaccine to Kim, but he turned it down. However, after the rapid spread of infection in the country, China once again made new proposals to North Korea.
Professor Yang Moo-jin of North Korea University said – North Korea may need international help to deal with the current crisis. If the situation does not come under control even with the help of China, then the country may have to seek help from international organizations and America as well.
North Korea hides information
It is very difficult to believe such claims related to North Korea's corona. North Korea had claimed that within just a few weeks, one million of its people were cured of a mysterious fever believed to be corona. Some experts say that one reason for this may be that North Korea is releasing people from quarantine as soon as the fever subsides.
Kim Jong has been hiding such records from the world. He never said how many deaths occurred in the severe famine in the 1990s. According to some reports, two million people died in North Korea during that famine. That's why the world can't trust Kim's claims.
