Pakistan's clean sweep: beat West Indies by 53 runs, Babar was dismissed for 1 run after scoring 50+ in 8 consecutive innings

Pak captain Babar Azam remained uninhabited against West Indies on Sunday. He got out on a personal score of just 1 run. Even after his dismissal, Pakistan defeated West Indies by 53 runs in the third and last ODI match.

With this win, the Pakistani team has made a clean sweep in the three-match series. Imam-ul-Haq (62) and Shadab Khan (86) contributed significantly to this victory.

Batting after winning the toss in Multan, the hosts scored 269 for 9 in 48 overs. In reply, the Caribbean team could only manage 216 runs in 37.2 overs. Shadab Khan was the man of the match.

Fakhar-Imam gave a good start

Pakistan got off to a good start in the first innings. Fakhar Zaman (35) and Imam-ul-Haq (62) put on 85 runs for the first wicket. Caribbean captain Nicholas Pooran, who came to bowl in the 17th over, broke this partnership by bowling Fakhar Zaman.

Pooran took four wickets

After captain Babar Azam (1) was dismissed by Hayden Walsh, Pooran got Imam-ul-Haq caught behind the wicket by Shai Hope. Then Mo. Rizwan became Pooran's third victim by scoring 11 (21) runs. He too got caught behind the wicket. After him, Mohammad Haris was caught by Pooran in the hands of Aqeel Hussain without opening the account. Pooran bowled more than and over for the first time in international cricket. He took 4 wickets for 48 runs in 10 overs.

Pakistan lost five wickets for 117 runs

At one point, Pakistan had lost 5 wickets for 117 runs in 24.4 overs. Khurshid Shah (34) and Shadab Khan (86) took the innings closer to victory. After his dismissal, the team's score of 269 runs was scored by the tail batsmen.

Bad start for Windies, Meyers became a victim of Dahani

The Caribbean team had a poor start. Shahnawaz Dahani, playing the debut match, got Kyle Meyers (5) caught by Imam-ul-Haq in his second over. At one point the West Indies' score was reduced to 3 wickets for 52 runs. Captain Nicholas Pooran was dismissed for 11.

Akil played an innings of 60 runs in 37 balls, 6 sixes

Aqeel Hossain (60) took one end and scored a half-century. In 37.2 overs, the West Indies innings were bundled out for 216 runs. Shadab Khan took 4 wickets. Hasan Ali and Mohammad Nawaz got 2 wickets each.
