Elon Musk's social media platform X (formerly Twitter) has crashed. Since the morning of today i.e. 21st December, users are not able to see any posts on X. This problem is being faced by both verified and non-verified users. Both mobile and web users are facing problems. This is not the first time that X has come to a standstill after Elon Musk became the owner. Even before this, X services have come to a standstill many times but this time X has come to a standstill differently.
What's different about X crashing?
Usually, whenever a website is down, all its services come to a halt, but this is not happening with X. It is quite surprising that users can open X's app and site but the timeline is not visible, whereas people can post.
On opening X, Welcome to It is written but after this no posts are visible. Both mobile and desktop users are facing this problem. At present, to view a user's post one has to go to his/her profile. No content is visible on the timeline.
#TwitterDown trending during an outage
X's services are down but #TwitterDown is visible on X itself after clicking on it no posts are visible i.e. users can post on X but are not able to see the posts.
Is Elon Musk going to make X fully paid?
Ever since Elon Musk became the owner of Ax, his entire focus has been on earning. They are finding every possible way to earn money from X. Elon Musk has hinted several times before that he is going to completely pave the way for X. Today's outage is also indicating the same thing. Is it possible that Elon Musk will now take money for viewing posts and this could be a part of the trial? Earlier this year, X services were halted in July, September, and October.
