Frustrated by the ever-changing environment in the Kashmir Valley after the abrogation of Article 370 and improving conditions for the return of Kashmiri Pandits, pro-Pakistan terrorists have once again started targeting Hindus and Sikhs here. Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Dilbagh Singh has said that the motive of terrorists behind the recent targeting of common people, especially the minority community of the Valley, is to create an atmosphere of fear and disturb communal harmony.

The DGP said, "The incidents of targeting of civilians in Kashmir for a few days are barbaric. Innocent people who are working for society and who have nothing to do with anyone are being targeted. This is an attempt to create an atmosphere of fear and disturb communal harmony by giving a communal color.” The DGP was speaking to reporters at Government Higher Secondary School Sangam, Idgah where a Hindu and a Sikh teacher were shot dead today. . These include the principal of the school. In the last 5 days, 7 civilians have been killed in the Valley, out of which four belong to the minority community. Of these, six have died in the city itself.

 

'Clues found'

Dilbag Singh said that those who are targeting humanity, brotherhood, local culture and values, their faces will be exposed soon. "We regret the successive attacks in which civilians have been killed," he said. We are working on past cases and Srinagar Police has got many leads. We will reach out to the people behind these barbaric attacks. I am sure the police will expose his face."

 

Dilbagh Singh insisted that these attacks are an attempt to defame the Muslim community of Kashmir. He also said that the terrorists are acting on the instructions of Pakistan and want to disturb the peace in the Kashmir Valley. "Terrorists are terrorists and they are acting on the instructions of agencies sitting across the border in Pakistan. So that Kashmir is kept disturbed and obstacles in the way of Kashmir's peace. I am sure the people of Kashmir will not allow him to succeed in the conspiracy. We will work together and thwart their plans.
