The BJP has called a meeting of the National Executive before the assembly elections of 5 states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab. ANI quoted sources as saying that this meeting could be held on October 18. In this, there can be talk about the assembly elections of the five states. The party has started election preparations in all the states and has also appointed in-charges. In Uttar Pradesh, BJP has made Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in charge. Apart from this, in-charges have also been appointed in different zones. This meeting is also being seen adding to the chain of election preparations.

Earlier on Monday, party president JP Nadda spoke to the team of the newly formed Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. He appealed to the youth leaders of the party to focus on connecting more and more people. He had advised the leaders to focus on connecting more and more people to the organization, not to any individual. Earlier, quoting sources, it was reported that the BJP is keeping a close eye on the Lakhimpur Kheri case. Especially in Uttar Pradesh, the impact of this ruckus is being assessed by the party leadership.

Along with 5 states in Uttar Pradesh, elections are due early next year. But the incident on Sunday in Lakhimpur Kheri has increased the party's concerns. Eight people have died in this incident and since then the opposition is attacking. After the farmers' movement, now this incident can affect the party's election strategy. Meanwhile, the BJP has announced an alliance with Apna Dal and Nishad Party in the UP elections. Both these parties are believed to influence eastern Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, BJP has decided to go in the name of CM Yogi Adityanath in this election.
