Why won't it matter to India if Pakistan doesn't come to play World Cup, said former player

Posted on 28th Nov 2022 09:46 am by rohit kumar

Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Rameez Raja recently said that if India does not come to Pakistan to play in the Asia Cup 2023, then Pakistan will also not go to India to participate in the ODI World Cup 2023. After this statement of Rameez Raja, former Pakistan cricket team spinner Danish Kaneria believes that Raja cannot talk and also gave a stern warning to the PCB chief.

Danish Kaneria believes that this threat of PCB will have no effect on India and if Pakistan refuses to play in the ODI World Cup, it will be its loss. Kaneria said that the PCB does not dare to boycott any ICC event. On the other hand, India does not care that Pakistan does not come. They have a huge market that generates a lot of revenue. If Pakistan does not go to India, then it will be a loss for it and not for India.

Danish Kaneria said that Pakistan will finally tour India for the World Cup as its officials would say that they had no other option as there was pressure from the ICC. If he repeatedly talks about skipping ICC events, it will badly affect Pakistan cricket. Kaneria said that there is still a lot of time in the Asia Cup and we are not sure that everything will be fine in the country. We do not know what situation will develop in the country at that time. It may also happen that apart from India, teams like Bangladesh and Afghanistan also refuse to go to Pakistan. The people of Pakistan want the Asia Cup to be held in their country, but looking at the situation in this country, Pakistan is on the back foot.
