There is a strong possibility of the Corona vaccine coming to India early next year. Bharat Biotech may launch its Corona vaccine 'Covaxine' by February next year. Only after this announcement, the central government has started focusing on the priorities of distribution of this vaccine and who will be given first to whom. As claimed by the company, Bharat Biotech's cocaine vaccine will be the first vaccine available in India. This is the reason that the government has started to finalize its distribution process and identify the people who will be given the vaccine first.
The expert group, considering these details, has prepared a blueprint. According to this, the first 30 million people will be given the vaccine, which will include doctors and MBBS students, and this vaccine will be free. At the same time, earlier Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan had said that the states have been asked to identify the priority beneficiary group of the vaccine. After the introduction of the vaccine, a total of 300 million priority beneficiaries will get the vaccine dose in the initial phase.
Roughly four categories have been identified so far regarding the corona vaccine.
1. One crore healthcare professionals: This vaccine will be given to more than one crore healthcare workers of the country on the arrival of the vaccine. These will include doctors, nurses, and ASHA workers as well as MBBS students.
2. 2 crore frontline workers: 2 crore frontline workers standing in the front line in the battle against Corona will be vaccinated. The group consists of municipal personnel, police personnel, and armed forces personnel.
3. 26 lakhs above 50 years of age: 26 million people over 50 years of age, who are more at risk of getting infected with corona, will get vaccinated if the vaccine becomes available. That is, people above 50 years of age will be given priority.
4. 1 crore people in the special category: This group will include people below 50, although people who already have some disease will be in this priority.
5. Such people will be given a free vaccine. The beneficiaries of the vaccine will be tracked through the Aadhaar card, but Aadhaar will not be mandatory for the vaccine. If someone does not have an Aadhaar card, he can get the vaccine through a government identification card, provided he has a photo of it.
