Chinese President Xi Jinping met with King Salman and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia on Thursday. Saudi state media released a video of Xi and the crown prince meeting at the palace.
Several agreements were signed in both countries
Another video showed Xi later talking to 86-year-old King Salman and signing a document with him. Saudi officials later said several agreements were signed in the two countries, including agreements with Chinese technology company Huawei on cloud computing, data centers, and other high-tech ventures.
America commented on this meeting
The US has already warned its Arab allies about working with Huawei over espionage concerns. America is also keeping a close watch on this visit. The White House said Xi's visit was an example of the US trying to influence the Middle East.
The official Xinhua news agency reported that Xi and King Salman also agreed to hold a meeting between the leaders of the two countries every two years.
