Yogi's minister Swami Prasad Maurya joins SP: 3 more MLAs resign from BJP in support; Akhilesh said - 'Mela hobe' in twenty

Posted on 11th Jan 2022 04:27 pm by rohit kumar

BJP has suffered a major setback before the UP assembly elections. Swami Prasad Maurya, a minister in the Yogi government, resigned from the cabinet on Tuesday. Shortly after that, he joined the SP. MLAs Brijesh Prajapati, Bhagwati Prasad Sagar, and Roshan Lal Verma have also left the BJP in support of Swami Prasad.

Now it is discussed that apart from Swami Prasad Maurya, 4 more MLAs including minister Dharam Singh Saini can join SP. On the stampede in the BJP camp, Akhilesh Yadav said that there is a 'mela hobe' of positive politics by matching everyone in the twenty-two. It will be a historic defeat for BJP.

MLA reached Raj Bhavan with Swami Prasad's resignation

Swami Prasad has mailed his resignation and Shahjahanpur MLA Roshanlal Verma reached Raj Bhavan with its hard copy. In his letter, he has cited the neglectful attitude of the government towards the backward, farmers, unemployed, youth, and small, small, and medium businessmen as the reason for his resignation.

Swami Prasad said that those who were considering themselves to be a big cannon would be stunned in the 2022 elections. Maurya was responsible for 4 departments. He was the Minister of Labor and Employment and Coordination in the cabinet. His daughter Sanghamitra Maurya is a BJP MP from Badaun.

Updates...

Shahjahanpur MLA Roshan Lal Verma has also resigned from the BJP.

Bhagwati Prasad Sagar, MLA of Bilhaur assembly of Kanpur, has also reached Swami Prasad Maurya's house.

Sources say that his ticket cut from BJP was believed to be fixed.

Brijesh Prajapati, BJP MLA from Banda's Tindwari has also resigned. It is believed that Brijesh Prajapati will also go to SP.

Apart from this, Patiali Kasganj MLA Mamitesh Shakya, Auraiya Vidhuna MLA Vinay Shakya, and Badaun Shekhupur's Dharmendra Shakya and MLA Neeraj Maurya can also join the SP. However, Vinay Shakya's brother Devesh Shakya said that we are not going anywhere right now.

Maurya gave the reason for his resignation

Maurya wrote in his resignation, "As the Minister of Labor and Employment and Coordination in the cabinet of Hon'ble Governor, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Ji, despite living in adversity and ideology, has discharged the responsibility with great dedication. But I resign from the cabinet of Uttar Pradesh due to the gross neglectful attitude of Dalits, backward farmers, unemployed youth, and small-small and medium-scale traders.

Keshav said – hasty decisions are often wrong

Deputy CM Keshav Maurya has termed Swami Prasad's resignation as a hasty decision. He wrote, 'I don't know for what reasons respected Swami Prasad Maurya Ji has resigned, I appeal to him to sit and talk. Hasty decisions often turn out to be wrong.

Swami Prasad joined BJP on 21st September 2016.

On 22 June 2016, Swami Prasad Maurya left the BSP by announcing in front of the media in the assembly room in the scorching afternoon. After this, he formed the Loktantrik Bahujan Manch and started showing his strength in the districts. After this, on 21 September 2016, he joined BJP. At that time BJP was relying on a winning candidate to win the 2017 elections.

However, now once again Swami Prasad Maurya has left the BJP and joined the SP. Experts believe that Swami Prasad Maurya was not getting that importance while Keshav Prasad Maurya was in BJP. As much importance as they will get in BSP or now in SP. In UP, 8 percents are Mauryas and Kushwahas. Swami Prasad Maurya is considered to have a good hold on these.

However, even though Swami Prasad Maurya has now gone to the SP, Akhilesh Yadav had invited him to join the SP several times in the Vidhan Sabha. Swami Prasad Maurya has become an MLA five times so far, while Mayawati and Yogi have also got ministerial posts in the cabinet. Not only this, while being in the opposition, he also held the post of Leader of the Opposition.
