Producer-actor Aamir Khan has not only accepted all the cuts suggested by the censor board in his new film 'Sitare Zameen Par' for release in India this Friday, but with these cuts, the film has also received a UA 13+ censor certificate. According to the copy of the film's censor certificate which has the duration of the film is about two hours and 38 minutes.
Just two or three days ago, you might have read a 'news' in which it was claimed that producer-actor Aamir Khan is seriously considering not releasing his new film 'Sitare Zameen Par' in India. In these 'news' informing about the film being passed by the British Censor Board without any cuts, it was emphasized that if the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) i.e. the Censor Board of India does not pass Aamir's film without cuts, then the film may not be released in India, because Aamir has refused to accept the cuts suggested by the Censor Board. But, sources say that this was just a part of the filmmaker's strategy to put pressure on the Censor Board.
