It is feared that lakhs of people are getting infected in a day. Staff at Huaxi, the largest hospital in China's southwestern city of Chengdu, said they were overburdened with Covid patients. An employee said that there are long lines in and out of the emergency department. Most of the patients coming by ambulance have to be given oxygen. There is no stock of medicines related to Kovid treatment in the hospital. Here only medicines can be given for symptoms like cold and cough.
