In an interview with Variety India, Ram Gopal Varma stated that if Ranveer Singh's upcoming film "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" grosses significantly at the box office, it could bring about a major change in Indian cinema. Ram Gopal Varma stated that if the film earns between 1500 and 2000 crore rupees, the dominance of South Indian films could end. He said, "With such earnings, all the big South Indian films will be in dire straits."

What is the secret of the film's success?

According to Ram Gopal Varma, the reason for the success of "Dhurandhar 2" is that the audience has already connected with the characters and the story. Ranveer Singh plays Hamza, an Indian spy working in Pakistan. Ram Gopal Varma explained that both parts were shot simultaneously, so the story flows continuously like "Baahubali." The action is also powerful.

When will "Dhurandhar 2" release?

"Dhurandhar" was released in December last year and grossed over ₹1,300 crore worldwide. Now, its sequel, "Dhurandhar The Revenge," is coming, and audiences are highly anticipating it. "Dhurandhar 2" is releasing on March 19, 2026. It was originally scheduled to clash with Yash's film "Toxic," but "Toxic" has been postponed to June. It will now clash with Pawan Kalyan's film "Ustad Bhagat Singh." "Dhurandhar 2" stars Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Ali Khan.
