Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea challenging the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the investigation into the money laundering case related to the Delhi Excise Policy scam will be heard in the Delhi High Court on Monday.

Refusing to grant interim relief at the last hearing held on March 20, a bench of Justice Suresh Kumar Kait and Justice Manoj Jain had asked Kejriwal's lawyer why he was not appearing despite repeated summons being issued. Also, the court had issued a notice to ED and sought its reply.

Kejriwal has also challenged the constitutional validity of certain provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act regarding arrest, interrogation, and granting of bail by the ED following the Delhi High Court's refusal to grant interim protection from penal action.

It is known that on March 21, the court had also asked ED to respond to the petition seeking protection from Kejriwal's arrest.
