BJP is now walking on an opposition-free path. It is working on a strategy to keep Congress in the political arena as a shabby and disastrous opposition even before the upcoming assembly elections. The top leadership of the party has asked the general secretary in charge of the states and the state unit to work on it by forming a separate team.
The name of this campaign has been named Operation Lotus Part-2. This, including Gujarat, Himachal, and Jharkhand are the states where elections are to be held.
The plan is also being worked on in those states where elections have recently ended. BJP believes that if Congress MLAs break up in any state, the message will go across the country. Goa is the latest example of this. The BJP has 20 MLAs and the Congress 11 in the 40-member assembly.
BJP has done homework in Goa
BJP's Goa in-charge CT Ravi had bluntly said in the state executive that the day the party high command gives the green signal, BJP MLAs will increase to 30. That is, the BJP has done homework in the direction of breaking 10 Congress MLAs.
Jharkhand-Bihar is the next stop
Sources say that in the meeting of the Parliamentary Board, it was decided that in the states where there are elections, such a pre-poll environment should be created so that the opposition is not seen far and wide in the contest. That is why party leaders have become active in Goa, Bihar, Jharkhand, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.
Operation Kamal Part-2 will also start, with an eye on Congress MLAs in Gujarat-Himachal
In the coming days, BJP will start Operation Kamal Part-2 in other states. In Gujarat and Himachal also, preparations are being made to give a fresh blow to the Congress.
The BJP believes that the people who used to know the cleverness and agility of grassroots politics in Congress have been sidelined. So the party has a good chance.
The Goa issue is going on since last month, but instead of taking action in the beginning, the party does damage control at the end.
Sonia and Rahul are embroiled in court cases. By the time they intervene, it is too late.
If Congress could not get votes for the opposition candidate in the presidential election, then the BJP would aggressively sabotage Congress.
Tamil Nadu: Expelled Panneerselvam may join BJP
Tamil Nadu's main opposition AIADMK on Monday expelled former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam from the primary membership and treasurer post of the party. After this, Palaniswami of Edappadi was elected as the interim general secretary. Panneerselvam is accused of supporting the DMK and working with leaders of the ruling party to weaken the AIADMK.
On the expulsion, Panneerselvam said that he was chosen by 1.5 crore workers. Therefore Palaniswami has no right to expel him. They will challenge the decision in court. After the crackdown on Panneerselvam, supporters ransacked the party office. After this, the party headquarters was sealed.
