Adipurush registered a massive opening at the box office on Friday, despite critics and memes going viral on social media. Initial estimates put the collection at around 36-38 crores for the Hindi version and 90 crores for domestic collection across all languages. This is the third biggest opening for a Hindi film after the pandemic, after Pathan and KGF 2.

Questions arising on Adipurush

The film stars Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. It is directed by Om Raut, best known for his last blockbuster Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. But ever since Adipurush was released people are trolling Om Raut on social media.

Adipurush India and Foreign Estimates

According to a Box Office India report, if the Telugu version's collections in the Hindi circuit and the rest of South India are taken into account, Adipurush has done a net business of around 90 crores on the first day in India. This figure in gross is 110 to 112 crores.

earned so many crores worldwide

The report also added: 'The worldwide collection report is yet to come, but the film has collected 140 crores worldwide on the first day and when all the figures will be out on Saturday, this number can go up to 150 crores. '

Adipurush is behind Pathan and ahead of Brahmastra

The Hindi version of Adipurush scored less than this year's biggest blockbuster Pathan which opened at 57 crores in India and Yash's KGF 2 (Hindi) which opened at 54 crores in India. However, the film has surpassed last year's most awaited film Brahmastra, which had an opening of 36 crores in India. All eyes are now fixed on the weekend collection.
