Asian Games: Shooters opened India's account even on the seventh day, achieved the silver target in 10-meter air pistol

Sarabjot Singh and Divya Thadigol won the Silver medal in the 10m Air pistol mixed team event: On the seventh day of the Asian Games, shooters have once again made the country proud. On the seventh day, India got its first medal in shooting.

 

India's path was not easy-

This path was not at all easy for Indian shooters. Now once again India has won the silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team gold medal match. Sarabjot Singh and Divya Thadigol have brought this success to India.

 

India lags behind China-

In the beginning, Indian shooters were far ahead and were leading by 4 points. India lagged behind China by 2 points in the gold medal race. Sarabjot and Divya scored a total of 14, while Chinese shooters Zhang Bowen and Jiang Ranxin scored 16 and won the gold medal.

 

India remained ahead in qualification-

In the qualification round, Sarabjot had scored 291, while Divya had scored 286 to take a total score of 577. In such a situation, India was ahead of China (576) in the qualification round, but China won in the medal shoot-out.

 

India created history in shooting-

With this, India has now won 19 medals in shooting with a total of 6 gold, 8 silver, and 5 bronze, with which India has broken the record of winning the most medals in shooting in one season of the Asian Games. Earlier, India had won 14 shooting medals in Doha in 2006.

 

India at number four-

With this, India's total medal count in the Asian Games 2023 Hangzhou has increased to 34. India is fourth in the points table with 8 gold, 13 silver, and 13 bronze.
