Canada issues new 'advice' for citizens
Immediately after the press conference of Canadian Foreign Minister Méleine Joly, on Friday, the Government of Canada issued new advice for its citizens traveling to India in the Safety and Security section. It has been told in these advisories that there are negative sentiments towards Canada in the Indian media and social media and there may be protests against Canada. There may also be anti-Canadian protests in these. In such a situation, Canadian citizens may have to face exploitation.
The advisory states that 'Do not talk to strangers in Delhi and National Capital Region and do not share your personal information with them. Avoid going to crowded areas and also avoid public transport. Whenever you go out, tell your friends or family about your travel plans. Let us tell you that last June, Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead in Surrey, Canada. The Canadian government had accused India of this.
