CII chairman told Arvind Kejriwal, the new focal point has not been made in Punjab for 30 years, industry in the streets

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal's meeting with the entrepreneurs of the metropolis has started at Bath Castle on the Delhi-Jalandhar Highway. About 300 entrepreneurs are present in the meeting. During this, entrepreneurs put many things in front of Arvind Kejriwal. SII Chairman Tushar Jain said that there is bureaucratic terrorism in Punjab. As soon as the industrialist uploads the map on the website, it is rejected by putting some kind of objection. This wastes a lot of time in setting up a new industry.

He said that more than the focal point, the industry has been set up in Gadaipur. Plots cannot have CLU. Our advice is that you form an advisory board with the concerned MLAs, taking together MSMEs and big industries. Jalandhar's industry demands that Jalandhar and Ludhiana be developed as expressways.

Tushar Jain said that for 30 years, not a single new focal point has been made in Punjab. Due to this, small industries have developed in our streets. Jalandhar has become the hub of the casting industry. Casting is the cheapest industry across India. He said that the industrialists of Punjab are intellectuals, they need facilities. To increase the industry of Jalandhar, a new industrial area is needed in 200 acres. If the government is unable to provide a new focal point, what are the alternatives? The industrial area of 500 acres was in the master plan. It has not been made available since 2009.

Such an industrial policy should be made, which does not harm the existing industries: Tejinder Bhasin

Tejinder Bhasin, President of Gadaipur Association said that Jalandhar is a small town. There are 20 thousand industries. 15 thousand industries are registered. No focal point has been made in Jalandhar after 1992. This led to the formation of other industries, but in illegal industrial areas. The places which were developed for industrial areas in the master plan, we have set up industries there, now they are being replaced. They are being put in the mixed zone. We have to make such a policy, which does not harm the existing industry.

He said that Jalandhar needs electricity. We have three power stations. There is a need to build a new 220 KV powerhouse in Gadaipur so that the industries of Gadaipur are benefitted. Bhasin said that the places identified in the master plan should be approved. The entrepreneur said that the industry gives 15 to 18 percent of the revenue of Punjab, but the government keeps only 2 to 2.5 percent of the budget for the industry.

Entrepreneur Pawan Kumar said – what will you do for the industry of Punjab

Pawan Kumar, director of Pawan Industries Corporation, said that if the Aam Aadmi Party comes, what it can do for the industry and business of Punjab, please answer it. The previous governments did not fulfill the promises. Manufacturers and traders are both dependent on each other. The cost of raw materials is increasing continuously. What will the government do about the reduction in the prices of raw materials? What will the government do for old and small factories? What infrastructure will be created for the youth? Young people are going abroad. Two to three cabinet ministers should be given from Jalandhar. VAT refund still stuck. What will you do about the reduction in the rate of petrol and diesel?

Sports entrepreneur Mukesh Bassan said – sports products should be displayed in world-class stadium

Sports industrialist Mukesh Bassan said that today sports have become very glamorous but sports industrialists are in trouble. Various sports materials are manufactured in Jalandhar. A world-class stadium should be constructed in Jalandhar. Along with the stadium, a hall should be made for the display of products produced in the sports industry. Ensure power supply.

The man said - Punjab is in dire need of industrial policy

After the arrival of Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann also started speaking. He said that there is no industrial policy in Punjab whereas Punjab desperately needs it.
