He also interacted with some workers through video conferencing.

In a program organized at his official residence, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the workers have played an important role in making the state self-reliant with their hard work and effort. In the continuous war against Corona for the last one and a half years, the workers have always fought it shoulder to shoulder with the government. The challenge was greater due to the lockdown announced last year due to the first wave of infections. More than 40 lakh migrant workers had come to Uttar Pradesh, the government made arrangements for their maintenance and employment. All the institutes of the world are researching this successful model of UP. Taking care of the interests of the workers, we were able to overcome the first wave of Corona.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the government has constituted a commission in the state to provide social security to the workers and to take care of their interests. During the second wave of corona infection, big and small industries continued to run in the state, the work of farming continued. We didn't even let the construction work stop. By setting up COVID Care Centers and COVID Help Desks in industrial units and factories, we worked to keep all workers safe.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated that the government will guarantee social security of Rs 2 lakh to all workers in the organized and unorganized sector within the state by registering them. This work has started. Similarly, by registering every worker, the government is also committed to providing them health insurance cover of up to Rs 5 lakh.

Targeting the previous governments, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that before the year 2017, ration cards of poor laborers were not made. Ration cards were made only for the families belonging to the ruling party. We provided ration cards to all the poor laborers by running a campaign. In his speech, he did not fail to warn the workers that the corona infection has weakened but has not ended. So take precautions and take the necessary steps to prevent corona.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also launched the portal for registration of workers in the unorganized sector in the Uttar Pradesh State Social Security Board. He also interacted with some workers through video conferencing. Labor and Employment Minister Swami Prasad Maurya, Finance and Medical Education Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, Panchayati Raj Minister Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh, Minister of State for Labor Manohar Lal Kori, Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari, Agriculture Production Commissioner Alok Sinha, and Additional Chief Secretary Labor and Sewayojan Suresh Chandra was also present.

Let us inform you that because of Corona, the UP government had imposed a partial curfew for security. Its benefit was also seen because the figures of daily new cases are decreasing rapidly in the state. However, it has had a bad effect on those who support their families by working on daily wages, but the government has also taken a big step to help them so that the daily wage workers, track, and ferry shopkeepers He will not have to face any difficulty in living. CM Yogi Adityanath has decided to give a maintenance allowance of one thousand rupees to such people. Last year, 20.37 lakh workers registered in the lockdown announced during the first wave of corona infection got maintenance allowance.

Let us inform you that in the odd circumstances of Corona, the state government has stopped hand carting, track shopkeepers, workers other than registered workers, daily wage laborers, rickshaw pullers, porters, pulleys, sailors, barbers, washermen, cobblers, confectioners, etc. It has been decided to give a maintenance allowance of Rs.1000 per family for one month. This scheme is currently implemented for one month. At present 98 lakh workers are registered in the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (BOCW) under the Labor Department. Out of these, the registration of about 67.37 lakh workers is renewed. Accordingly, they are entitled to a maintenance allowance.
