Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is on 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' these days. The journey which started from Kanyakumari on 7th September has now reached Karnataka via Kerala. Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi also joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra in the Mandya district of Karnataka on Thursday. During this, he marched on foot along with Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and other party leaders and workers.

This journey will pass through Karnataka for 21 days. During this, it will cover a distance of 511 km in the state. In Karnataka, this yatra will also pass through Chamarajanagar, Mysore, Mandya, Tumakuru, Chitradurga, Bellary, and Raichur districts.

Mallikarjun Kharge also joined Sonia Gandhi

Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi took part in the Bharat Jodo Yatra for the first time from the Mandya district of the BJP-ruled state. Apart from Sonia Gandhi, senior party leader Mallikarjun Kharge is one of the top contenders for the post of Congress chief. He also joined this foot march on Thursday.

Sonia Gandhi attended the 26th day of the Yatra

Please tell that Sonia Gandhi has not participated in any public program of the party for a long time. She joined it on the 26th day of the five-month-long Bharat Jodi Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is expected to join the foot march on October 7.

My journey in the state started from Gundlupet in Karnataka

Rahul Gandhi, who started his yatra from Kanyakumari last month, is continuously walking on foot. The Yatra started in the state from Gundlupet in Karnataka on 30th September via Kerala.

Journey passing through BJP-ruled state

The journey has entered a crucial phase with its entry into Karnataka. Assembly elections are due in the state next year. This is the first time that this yatra is passing through a BJP-ruled state. Earlier this yatra had gone through Tamil Nadu and Kerala, where there is no BJP government.

Significantly, this 3,570 km long march from Kanyakumari to Srinagar will cover 12 states and two union territories in five months.
