Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi will file a defamation case against Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal had termed him as a dishonest person after the ED raided several places in Punjab, including the nephew of the Congress leader. The Delhi Chief Minister had said on Wednesday that Channi was not a common man but a dishonest man.
Channi alleged that Kejriwal has a habit of leveling allegations to malign the image of others. For this reason, he later had to apologize to BJP leaders Nitin Gadkari, late Arun Jaitley, and SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia.
Talking to reporters in Chamkaur Sahib, Channi said that Kejriwal has now crossed all limits and has requested his party to grant permission to file a defamation case against the AAP leader.
CM said that I will file a defamation case against Kejriwal and I have requested my party to allow it to do so. I am compelled to do so. He is calling me dishonest and he has put it on his Twitter handle. Opposition parties, especially AAP, intensified attacks on Channi and Congress after the Enforcement Directorate raids on relatives of CM Channi.
Earlier, Kejriwal had claimed that Channi would lose from Chamkaur Sahib seat in next month's assembly polls while asserting that people were shocked by the seizure of crores of rupees from Channi's nephew's house. On this statement of Kejriwal, Channi replied that what happened now, the money has come from someone else, someone else is being raided, but he should call me dishonest by putting my photo showing the bundle of notes seized during the raid. are. Channi said that Kejriwal is calling me dishonest, had he called himself dishonest when his nephew was caught.
Channi said why are pictures of bundles of notes being put up with my pictures on social media accounts. What money did I get, what is my fault in this? Why are you dragging me into this? Some money of someone else was confiscated… There were raids at ten places in Punjab. Why are you linking me to this?
