Corona havoc in Telangana 45 girl students of a school in Sanga Reddy district and a teacher Covid-19 positive

More than 40 cases of corona have been reported in a school in Telangana. 45 girl students of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Backward Classes Welfare School in Sanga Reddy district of the state have been found corona positive. A teacher is also suffering from this pandemic. According to Dr. Gayatri K, DM and HO of Sangareddy district, the students have been kept in isolation and are being treated.

 

Alert in Telangana regarding Omicron

The Telangana government on Sunday said that it has strengthened the surveillance system and alerted the teams because of the threat of the novel coronavirus, Omicron.

 

Meanwhile, after 135 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Telangana on Sunday, the total number of infected people has reached 6,75,614. Apart from this, with the death of one more patient, the death toll has reached 3,989. State Public Health Director G Srinivas told reporters that the new 'Omicron' form has been detected in South Africa, Botswana, Hong Kong, and some European countries and therefore those who have been vaccinated from there will also be kept in home isolation and monitored.

 

Emphasis on vaccination among new variants

 

He said that those who have not been vaccinated or partially vaccinated will be screened and if any are found infected then their samples will be sent to the CDFD laboratory for genome sequencing. A bulletin of the health department said that the number of patients under treatment in the state is 3,535. A total of 22,356 samples were tested for COVID-19 today.

 

So far 2,85,11,075 samples have been tested in Telangana. The bulletin said that after the recovery of 144 people in the state, the number of cured people has increased to 6,68,090.
