Connaught Place to be locked on New Year's Eve

Because of the increasing cases of Corona and Omicron, a yellow alert has been issued in Delhi. Under this, night curfew is in force from 10 pm to 5 am. Apart from this, instructions have been issued to run restaurants, bars, and public transport with a 50 percent seating capacity. At the same time, the entry of people in the surrounding areas including Connaught Place (CP) has been stopped from 8 pm on December 31. This restriction will apply to private vehicles as well as public transport. People will also have to go from Ajmeri Gate side to reach New Delhi Railway Station. The road from Connaught Place to Chelmsford Road via Paharganj to the railway station will remain closed. However, the entry from Deshbandhu Gupta Roadside will remain open.

 

Instructions to be strict in Noida

Police have imposed restrictions in Noida and Greater Noida regarding the new year. Section-144 is applicable in the Gautam Budh Nagar district. At the same time, a night curfew has been imposed from 11 pm to 5 am. New Year's parties will be banned in closed and open places including hotels, restaurants, bars. All the station in-charges have been directed to follow the rules. Instructions have been given to take strict action against the rioters.

 

Section 144 was imposed in Mumbai on New Year

By the way, New Year's celebration is most celebrated in Mumbai. It is said that Mumbai does not sleep on the last night of the year, but this time Omicron has ruined the New Year celebrations. The new variant of Corona, Omicron, is spreading rapidly in Maharashtra. According to the latest figures, 450 new cases have been reported in Maharashtra. which is the highest in the country. Because of this, the Maharashtra Police has imposed Section 144 in the capital Mumbai. After imposing Section 144, now during the New Year celebrations in the metropolis, the police have banned New Year celebrations, parties in restaurants, hotels, bars, pubs, resorts, and clubs from December 30 to January 7.

Police banned in Chennai

Because of the increasing cases of Omicron, the Tamil Nadu government has also issued guidelines. On the occasion of New Year in Chennai, an appeal has been made not to increase the crowd in the city. People have been banned from coming out on the streets from 12 pm to 5 am on the night of 31 December. The police have urged people to go to their homes before 12 pm on December 31. However, there will be no bar on emergency services.

 

Blockade in Bangalore too

Because of the threat of Corona and Omicron, on the eve of the New Year, the police have imposed a complete blockade in Bengaluru on the night of 31 December. Along with this, instructions were given to follow the corona protocol rules in the city. The police administration has also appealed to the people to cooperate in this.
