Posted on 15th Jul 2026 01:38 pm by rohit kumar

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra users have reported a new AMOLED display issue, with several owners claiming that their smartphone screens are gradually developing a pink or reddish tint after months of use. Following growing complaints on social media platforms, Samsung has confirmed that it is investigating the issue to determine whether it is caused by hardware or software.

The latest development has reignited concerns about AMOLED display reliability, especially after previous controversies involving display specifications and screen-related issues.

Galaxy S26 Ultra Users Report Red Screen Problem

According to multiple user reports on Reddit and South Korea's Naver platform, the Galaxy S26 Ultra display no longer delivers the same color accuracy it had when the device was first purchased.

Unlike an obvious red screen, users describe the issue as a subtle pinkish or reddish tint that gradually becomes noticeable over time, making it difficult to detect in the early stages.

Reports suggest that the problem typically appears several months after purchase, rather than immediately after activating the device.

Could It Be AMOLED Screen Burn-In?

Technology experts believe the issue may be related to AMOLED screen burn-in, although Samsung has not officially confirmed the cause.

Some users claim similar discoloration can also be seen on demo units displayed in retail stores, further fueling speculation that the problem may not be limited to individual devices.

At present, there is no official confirmation on whether the issue affects all Galaxy S26 Ultra units or only a limited batch.

Samsung Responds to Display Complaints

Samsung has acknowledged receiving reports about the display issue.

According to the company, an internal investigation is underway to identify the root cause. Samsung has not yet confirmed whether the problem is linked to a hardware defect, software update, or display calibration issue.

The company is expected to provide further clarification once its technical review is complete.

Galaxy S26 Ultra Display Faces Another Controversy

This is not the first time Samsung's flagship smartphone has faced display-related criticism.

Earlier, the Galaxy S26 Ultra drew attention after claims surrounding its 10-bit display were questioned, with reports suggesting the panel used 8-bit + FRC technology instead. The controversy prompted some customers to cancel their pre-orders.

The latest red-screen reports have also reminded users of previous AMOLED green-line issues that affected smartphones across the industry after certain software updates.

Should Buyers Be Concerned?

Samsung has not announced any recall or service program related to the reported display issue. Since the investigation is still ongoing, users experiencing unusual screen discoloration are advised to monitor official updates and contact Samsung Support if the problem appears on their device.

Until Samsung releases its findings, it remains unclear whether the issue is widespread or limited to a small number of Galaxy S26 Ultra units.
