Covid JN.1 Case in India: A new variant of Corona JN-1 is spreading rapidly, highest number of cases in Goa and one death in Rajasthan.

A case of infection with the new sub-variant JN-1 of Corona has come to light in the capital Delhi and Rajasthan. This variant has been confirmed in four patients in Rajasthan, out of which one patient has died recently. Genome sequencing of three samples found corona positive in Delhi has been reported, in which infection with sub-variant JN-1 has been confirmed in one sample. Infection with the old variant of Omicron has been found in the other two samples. At the same time, one patient in each of the new variants has been found in the Ajmer, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, and Bharatpur districts of Rajasthan. Among these, the Dausa patient has died.

 

The highest number of cases of variant JN.1 was reported from Goa

The Union Health Ministry informed that 293 patients have recovered from Covid in the last 24 hours. There have been 66 new cases. According to the information, there are 109 patients of Covid sub-variant JN.1. Most cases of sub-variant JN.1 have been reported from Goa. At the same time, cases of this variant have also been reported from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.

 

 

People should not panic due to increasing cases of Corona

Given the increasing cases of Corona, former Chief Scientist of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Soumya Swaminathan said that there is no need to panic at the moment because it is not a matter of concern. Dr. Soumya Swaminathan further said that people should stay in a well-ventilated environment. At the same time, avoid meeting unhealthy people without wearing a mask.
