On the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Friday that the global order is changing rapidly. In such circumstances, India has no option but to strengthen itself further to ensure its defense, peace, and stability. Rajnath was addressing the inauguration of 'Defconnect 2.0'.

DEFCONNECT 2.0 is a one-day event organized to bring together startups, large companies, and officers of the Armed Forces on a single platform to promote indigenous innovation in the defense sector. During this, Singh said that many such activities are happening in the world which is affecting India.

'Corona crisis not over and Ukraine dispute started'

Singh told the people present here, "When we met on Aero India 2021 (February 21), the world has changed so much that it cannot be accounted for. Each new threat is looking more challenging than ever. We have not yet fully recovered from the Corona crisis and the world is facing the Ukraine conflict. ,

The Defense Minister said that the way the global order is changing with time, we have no other option but to strengthen ourselves further. He said that even before this the world has witnessed instability in the Middle East, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Apart from this, many such incidents are happening in the world, which is affecting India.

Any defense technology only we need to have

Rajnath Singh further said that to strengthen ourselves, we need to develop many sectors of the defense sector in our country. Disruptive technology is a very important area in this regard. He emphasized that the utility and modernity or uniqueness of a defense technology are equally important.

How important defense technology is to us is certainly important, he said. But, it is also necessary that only we should have that technology. Singh said that when a defense technology reaches other countries, its usefulness ends. Because the country in front keeps complete information about it.
