Dwarka Expressway: Cost of Rs 9000 crore, nine km on eight lanes and single pillar; Know the specialty of elevated expressway

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gifting the Dwarka Expressway to the people on Monday. The administration has made complete preparations. For this, a grand inauguration ceremony has been organized on the grounds of Sector-84 adjacent to Dwarka Expressway.

 

Gurugram, the land of Guru Drona, is fully prepared to welcome the Prime Minister. Before the inauguration ceremony on March 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a road show on Basai Road and accept the greetings of the people of the area. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and Chief Minister Manohar Lal along with Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh will be present in this program. 36 sectors have been created in the venue of the inauguration ceremony. Apart from this, eight parking spaces have been created.

 

Dwarka Expressway is being built with Rs 9 thousand crores

You will get the gift of Dwarka Expressway which is being built at a cost of about nine thousand crores. Out of the total 29.5 km expressway, 19 km passes through Gurugram. To finalize it, NHAI officials are busy with the work of improvement and beautification. According to sources, in election mode, the government will dedicate to the public the 19 km stretch of Dwarka Expressway falling in the Gurugram area before the code of conduct. The patchwork of about nine kilometers in Delhi is likely to be completed by June.

 

The expressway is divided into four parts

The expressway is divided into four segments. The first part connects Shiv Murti near Mahipalpur to Dwarka. The other connects Dwarka Urban Extension Road (UER) to Bajghera. The third part is from Bajghera to Basai Rail Overbridge (Delhi-Haryana Border). The fourth part is from Basai ROB to Kherki Daula. It includes a cloverleaf interchange on the part of the highway falling in Gurugram, it will connect the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway (NH-48) and the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) near Kherki Daula.

 

Connectivity between IGI Airport will be better

Rao said that the opening of the Dwarka Expressway will improve connectivity between Gurugram and Delhi's IGI Airport. Also, this project will have four categories of road transport which are tunnel, underpass, flyover, and flyover over flyover.

The length of this expressway is 18.9 kilometers in the Haryana region and 10.1 kilometers in the Delhi region. He said that this is a big gift from the government to the residents of Gurugram. The opening of this expressway will provide new expansion to the road infrastructure not only in Gurugram but also in the NCR region. People living in new sectors of this area will also benefit from it.

 

First 8-lane elevated expressway

The country's first 8-lane elevated expressway is being built at a cost of approximately Rs 9000 crore. There is also a 34-meter-wide elevated road of eight lanes on a single pillar in the length of 9 kilometers, which is the first elevated road of its kind in the country. In Haryana, this expressway will be found near Harsaru on Pataudi Road (SH-26) and near Basai in Farrukhnagar (SH-15A).

 

Apart from this, it will also cross the Delhi-Rewari railway line near Sector-88 (B) of Gurugram and at Bharthal. The expressway will connect Sectors - 88, 83, 84, 99, and 113 with Dwarka Sector-21 along with the proposed Global City in Gurugram district.

 

Vehicle pressure will be reduced on Delhi-Jaipur Highway

With the opening of the Dwarka Expressway, the vehicular pressure on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway will be reduced. Currently, due to the pressure of vehicles, people have to face the problem of traffic jams every day in many places including the Sarhaul border to Kherkidaula. With the opening of Dwarka Expressway, the pressure of vehicles on the highway will be reduced and people are expected to get relief from the jam.
