The financial situation of Haryana is deteriorating due to the ongoing lockdown on Covid-19. Apart from regular expenses, other expenses are also increasing, including the purchase of rabi crops at the beginning of the financial year. The government is also incurring additional costs to deal with the corona virus. That too when there is no source of income in the state due to lockdown.

In such a situation, the government will take a loan so that regular financial management can be done. In an all-party meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Chandigarh on Thursday, opposition parties also clearly said that they should not hesitate to take loans in crisis. Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala and Home and Health Minister Anil Vij were also present in the meeting. At the same time, the Leader of Opposition and former CM Bhupendra Hooda and senior INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala participated through video conferencing.

In the past, CM has also indicated to take loans. On Thursday, he said, the government has lost revenue of about 9 thousand crores due to Corona. If the lockdown is prolonged and the situation in the neighboring states is not normal, then the loss may increase further. The matter of taking loans to improve the financial situation was also discussed in the meeting. The opposition agreed to this proposal of the government.

Hooda said that the government should have no hesitation in taking loans under the fiscal crisis. Opposition appreciated the decision to seal all Delhi borders in Jhajjar, Sonepat, Gurugram and Faridabad. Hooda and Abhay said that it is right to prohibit commuters from Delhi. This decision would have been even better if it had been taken a few days ago. Chief Secretary Keshani Anand Arora, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister V Umashankar and other officials were present in the meeting.

700 crores for wheat payment

At the meeting, Hooda and Abhay raised the issue of farmers' payment of crops. On this, Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala said, till Wednesday, 30 lakh metric ton wheat and 2.90 lakh metric ton mustard were procured. In the accounts of 52 thousand 645 farmers, Rs 591 crore has been paid for mustard. 700 crore has been released for wheat now. Dushyant urged them to motivate big farmers to bring wheat late in the mandis to reduce the worries of small farmers. He assured 100 percent purchase by 15 May.

Stopping traffic from Delhi will benefit

During the all-party meeting, Home Minister Anil Vij presented reports related to Health Department, Local Bodies Department and Police Department working for Corona. Anil Vij's report was agreed by all the leaders. Vij said that stopping traffic from Delhi would improve the situation.
