In a letter issued by Abdul Batin Nomani, General Secretary of Anjuman Intejamia Masjid, it has been said that there is resentment among Muslims over allowing worship in the southern basement of Gyanvapi. In protest against this decision, Muslims will peacefully keep their businesses closed on Friday and call for prayer from Friday prayers till Asr prayers. Along with this, everyone has been appealed to maintain peace. Do not pay attention to any kind of rumor.
Three thousand soldiers took care of security from road to streets
On Thursday, there was a complete closure in two big markets of the city and a partial closure in one area. Friday prayers are to be held on Friday, hence the police intensified preparations from Thursday night itself. However, till now everything has been normal. DCP RS Gautam held a peace committee meeting in Jaitpura, Adampura, and Chowk police stations till late at night, while Additional Police Commissioner Law and Order Chinappa Shivasimpi assured people of security by marching on foot in Muslim areas.
