The matter of validity of the case will be heard first in the Gyanvapi case. The demand for legitimacy was made by the Muslim side. The hearing began for the second consecutive day on Tuesday in the court of the District Judge of Varanasi. Only two points were discussed from both sides.
The Muslim side wanted that first under Civil Procedure Order 07, Rule 11 it should be decided whether the matter can be heard or not. On the other hand, the Hindu side wanted to hear the points related to the survey report of the Gyanvapi Masjid complex and the objections to it. Now on May 26, there will be a hearing on the first validity.
On the orders of the Supreme Court, the hearing began on Monday in the court of District Judge Dr. Ajay Kumar Vishwesh. After hearing for about 45 minutes, the court adjourned the matter till Tuesday.
The top court had also directed that the application relating to Order 07 Rule 11 should be heard on a priority basis. The court had upheld its earlier order to protect the 'Shivling' site as pointed out by the local court. Along with this, the Varanasi district magistrate was also directed to make arrangements for a proper Wuzu facility for the prayers.
