IMD Monsoon Forecast: Meteorological Department's big information on monsoon, told- how will it rain in the country this time

The Indian Meteorological Department has given big information about Monsoon 2022. This information is news of relief from common people to farmers. The Meteorological Department has said that India is likely to receive normal rains during the southwest monsoon season this year. This rainfall will be 96 percent to 104 percent of the Long Period Average (LPA) of 87 cm for the period 1971-2020. Earlier, the Meteorological Department had predicted 88 cm of rain during the period 1961-2010. This time from June to September it will be 868.6 mm as against 880.6 mm earlier. That is, if the rain is to be believed, this time it will be at the right time.

Normal or above normal rainfall is very likely to occur over northern parts of peninsular India, central India, foothills of the Himalayas, and some parts of northwest India. According to IMD, along with the monsoon, the effect of La Nina will also be visible in the rains.

Below normal rainfall is very likely over many parts of Northeast India, parts of Northwest India, and southern parts of the South Peninsula. In 2021, the country received "normal" rainfall during the four-month southwest monsoon season from June to September. This was the third consecutive year that the country recorded normal or above-normal rainfall. And in 2020 the rain was above normal.

 

Monsoon likely in Delhi by 26-27 June

 

According to the weather information agency Skymet, the monsoon is expected to reach the national capital in general from June 26 to 27. Monsoon will pick up in the capital in July.
