India vs New Zealand Kanpur Test: By the end of the first day's play between India and New Zealand at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, the Indian team scored 258 runs in 84 overs at the loss of four wickets. Shreyas Iyer (75) and Ravindra Jadeja (50) are frozen at the crease with half-centuries. There has been a partnership of 113 runs in 208 balls between the two. Shubman Gill's fourth half-century

 

22-year-old young batsman Shubman Gill scored his fourth half-century in Test cricket with brilliant batting before lunch. He scored 52 runs in 93 balls with the help of five fours and a six. After the first wicket fell for just 21 runs, Bagh Gill put the team in a strong position with Pujara for the second wicket with a partnership of 61 runs.

 

Kyle Jamieson made a comeback

 

 

After the first wicket fell soon, Team India was making a strong comeback and moving towards a big score. In the first session, the Kiwi bowlers could only take one wicket. But in the second session, fast bowler Kyle Jamieson got New Zealand back. Apart from Mayank Agarwal (13), Jamieson sent Shubman Gill (52) and Ajinkya Rahane (35) to the pavilion.

 

Shreyas Iyer's counterattack

 

In front of the lethal bowling of Kyle Jamieson, India lost their four wickets for just 146 runs. After this, Iyer, playing his first Test, retaliated while playing a strong inning. Iyer scored a half-century in the debut Test and shared an unbeaten 113-run partnership with Jadeja. At present, Iyer is unbeaten on 75 runs.
