India-Pakistan cricket match this month: The match in Asia Cup will be held on August 28, T20 match will start in Dubai at 6 pm

India and Pakistan will play T20 matches this month. ICC has released the schedule of the Asia Cup. According to this, there will be a match between India and Pakistan in the Group A match. The match will be played on August 28 in Dubai from 6 pm onwards. The final match will be played on September 11.

 

Earlier, India and Pakistan had clashed in the T20 World Cup. In this match played on 24 October 2021, India was defeated by Pakistan by 10 wickets. This time India will have a chance to avenge the defeat in the T20 World Cup. The Asia Cup T20 tournament will start on August 27.

 

India has become champion 7 times

 

The Indian team has so far participated in 13 editions of this tournament and has been the champions seven times. Apart from this, the team reached the final three times but had to face defeat. Sri Lanka is in second place. The Sri Lankan team has been champion five times and runner-up six times. The Pakistan team has won this title twice.

 

Asia Cup qualifiers from August 21

 

The Asia Cup qualifiers will start on August 21. In this, other teams including UAE, Oman, Nepal, and Hong Kong will land. One of these teams will qualify for the main draw. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh have already got a place in the main draw. The last time the Asia Cup matches were held in the UAE was in 2018.

 

Earlier this mega event was going to be held in Sri Lanka, but due to the deteriorating situation there, this tournament was shifted to UAE on the last occasion. However, even here the host of this tournament will remain Sri Lanka Cricket.

 

India won the last Asia Cup

 

This time Asia Cup is being played in 20-20 overs. The last time 50-50 over matches were played was in 2018. India won the title. Bangladesh had set a target of 223 runs in the final. It was achieved by India in 50 overs. It was organized for the first time in 2016 in T20 format. India has won the Asia Cup title 7 times.
