Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 10 (IANS) Putting up a brave face after the Congress party was routed in the Delhi assembly elections, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said Tuesday it was a vote against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the centre.
"The traditional Congress vote has gone to the AAP and what happened was there was a strong anti-BJP wave in Delhi," said Chandy, who had undertaken a day-long campaign for the Congress party in places where there was a sizeable Malyali population.
"The Congress party will introspect on its failures and will work alongside the people," he added.
"The people have given a fitting reply to people who speak one thing when in opposition and do the opposite when in power. The final analysis is there has been a strong movement against the BJP," said Chandy.
