'Jailer' is originally a Tamil film, which has also been released in Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu languages. The film was released on 10 August. Rajinikanth is in the role of retired police officer Muthuval Pandian in 'Jailer'. He plays the father of ACP Arjun (Vasant Ravi). Ramya Krishnan plays Rajinikanth's wife in the film. Talking about the fees of the cast of the film, Rajinikanth has charged 110 crores. Mohanlal charged eight crores for the cameo role. Jackie Shroff and Shiva Rajkumar took four crores and Tamannaah Bhatia took three crores. Ramyakrishnan charged a fee of 80 lakhs. These are not official figures.
