On Wednesday, police and security forces foiled a plot of a major attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama ahead of Independence Day. Security forces recovered 25-30 kg IDD near Tahab crossing on a circular road in the city. The IED has been deactivated.
ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said, "Acting based on confidential information received by the Pulwama Police, the police and security forces foiled the plot of a major attack."
He said that the matter is being investigated. The search is on for those who took the IED to this place and those who came to pick up the IED from here. Every passing vehicle is being checked.
