Posted on 21st May 2025 12:31 pm by rohit kumar

After Operation Sindoor, five alleged spies have been arrested one after the other from Haryana based on the information of central investigation agencies. All of them are accused of sending important and confidential information of the country to Pakistan while staying in different parts of the state. The state's intelligence department could not even detect this network of spies, let alone catch them.

The statements given by these spy accused to the investigation agencies show that they were involved in suspicious activities while staying in Haryana for the last four to six years. They went to Pakistan several times and also came back.

Jyoti Malhotra uploaded pictures of sensitive areas.

Jyoti Malhotra of Hisar and Tareef of Nuh went to Pakistan three times each, Noman Ilahi of Panipat four times, Arman of Nuh twice and Devendra of Kaithal also went to Pakistan once. The movement of these spies to the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi had also increased. Jyoti Malhotra even uploaded pictures of sensitive areas of Pakistan and the country. Despite all this, the intelligence department did not suspect their activities. These people were carrying out their activities without any hindrance for a long time.

Stayed in Pakistan for a month, uploaded pictures on social media

The people arrested on charges of sending information to Pakistan went to Pakistan and stayed for a week to a month, and uploaded pictures of their Pakistan visit on social media. Why those going on a tourism or religious tour were staying there for so many days, nobody knew.

Noman arrested from Panipat went to Pakistan illegally once and also kept arranging visas for people going to Pakistan. Arman and Tareef, arrested from Nuh, were in contact with the employees of the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi for a long time.

Bangladeshis kept coming gradually, now action is being taken

After the Pahalgam terrorist attack and Operation Sindoor, the government is now taking action against Bangladeshis living in Haryana for many years. More than 400 Bangladeshis have been arrested since Operation Sindoor. Of these, a maximum of 174 people have been caught from Jhajjar, 17 from Rohtak, 18 from Rewari, 65 from Hansi, and 16 from Fatehabad.

All of them have been sent to the shelter home in Delhi. Investigation has revealed that these people were living in the state unauthorisedly for many years. It is not that they came in a single day. Gradually, they kept coming and settling in different areas of the state. They settled families here while working at brick kilns, but the intelligence department was unable to stop them in all these years.

Not an intelligence failure, everyone has freedom of movement.

There is no intelligence failure. There is democracy in India, everyone has freedom of movement. Jyoti Malhotra was travelling on documents. In such a situation, some things come to the fore with time. This time we will make a positive thing by holding a meeting soon. The shortcomings in security are being removed. There are special cells in the state to keep an eye on YouTube channels, social media in the state. Everyone is being searched. Through this, we are constantly monitoring, action is being taken against whoever has links with Pakistan or sleeper cells. -Sumita Mishra, Home Secretary, Haryana
