Kejriwal government will provide ration to Delhiites at home, AAP cabinet approves

Posted on 21st Jul 2020 01:11 pm by rohit kumar

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that today our cabinet has approved the doorstep ration delivery scheme in Delhi. The name of this scheme will be the 'Chief Minister Ghar-Ghar Ration Scheme'. Now people will not have to go to the ration shop under this scheme. Ration will be delivered respectfully at people's doorsteps.

Kejriwal said that every state government all over the country along with the central government distribute ration to the poor people of their state. Ever since the ration distribution began in the country, poor people have been facing difficulty in getting ration. Sometimes you get a closed shop, sometimes you get adulteration and sometimes you make more money. In the last 5 years, we have made many improvements in the system of rationing. Today, the decisions taken by our cabinet at 11:00 am are not less than any revolutionary decision.

Today we have approved the scheme of doorstep delivery of ration in Delhi. The name of this scheme will be the 'Chief Minister Ghar-Ghar Ration Scheme'. Under this scheme, people will no longer have to come to the ration shop, but the ration will be transported with respect.

Wheat will be picked from FCI godown and its flour will be ground, rice and sugar, etc. will also be packed and people will be transported from door to door.

The central government's scheme of 'One Nation One Ration Card' will be implemented in Delhi on the same day the home delivery of ration will start in Delhi. People will be given the option that whoever wants to go to the shop and get ration, can go to the shop and can use the option if they want home delivery.

Home delivery of ration will begin in the next six to 7 months. Home delivery will be given flour instead of wheat. It is a great pleasure for me because before joining politics, Manish Sisodia and I used to run an organization called Parivartan. They used to work with poor people inside the slums of Delhi, they worked for the rights of the poor. When he did not get ration, he used to work to get ration for him.

We used the Right to Information (RTI) Act to get ration to the people. In those days the ration of the people used to be stolen and the full ration was not available. There was an entry in the government papers that we gave ration to everyone and everyone used to get fake thumbs. The way we served the doorstep delivery offer, similarly to the doorstep delivery operation will be a big step in the field of governance.
