With this, he became one of the bowlers who scored the most runs in an IPL match. The record for the most runs in an IPL match is in the name of Basil Thampi, who spent 70 runs against Bangalore while playing for Hyderabad in 2018. Yash Dayal is second after him. Ishant Sharma is number three on this list, he gave 66 runs against Chennai in 2013 while playing for Hyderabad. Mujeeb ur Rahman has also looted 66 and Umesh Yadav 65 runs.

Five sixes in an over for the fifth time in IPL

This was the fifth time in the history of IPL when five sixes were hit in an over. First, this feat was done by Chris Gayle in 2012 while playing for RCB. He hit five sixes in one over of Rahul Sharma of Pune Warriors. After this, in 2020, Rahul Tewatia, playing for Rajasthan Royals, hit five sixes in the over of Sheldon Cottrell of Punjab Kings. In 2021, Ravindra Jadeja of Chennai hit five sixes in the over of Harshal Patel of RCB. In 2022, Marcus Stoinis and Jason Holder of Lucknow together hit five sixes in one over of Kolkata's Shivam Mavi. Now Rinku Singh playing for Kolkata hit five sixes in the over of Gujarat's Yash Dayal.

Rashid Khan became the bowler who took the most hat-tricks in T20

In this match, in the 17th over of Kolkata's innings, Rashid Khan dismissed Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Shardul Thakur to take a hat-trick. This was his first hat trick in IPL. At the same time, he did this feat for the fourth time in T20. Earlier, he has also taken a hat-trick in Caribbean Premier League, International T20, and Big Bash League. With this, Rashid became the bowler with the most hat tricks in T20. Apart from them Andrew Tye of Australia, Mohammed Shami of India, Amit Mishra, Andre Russell of West Indies, and Imran Tahir of South Africa have also taken three hat-tricks in T20.

A fourth hat trick against Kolkata

This was the fourth time in the history of IPL when a bowler took a hat-trick against the Kolkata Knight Riders. This feat was first done by Makhaya Ntini in 2008 while playing for Chennai. After this, Pravin Tambe of Rajasthan took a hat-trick against Kolkata in 2014. In 2022, Yuzvendra Chahal took a hat-trick against Kolkata while playing for Rajasthan. Now Rashid Khan, captaining Gujarat Titans, achieved a hat-trick against Kolkata. However, despite his hat trick, Kolkata Knight Riders managed to win the match.
