An agreement has been reached after talks between the farmers and the officials regarding the Lakhimpur violence. The consensus was reached after six rounds of talks between the government and the farmers. The Yogi government has announced a compensation of Rs 45 lakh to the families of the deceased. A family member of the deceased will be given a government job. Along with this 10 lakh will be given to the injured. It has also promised to conduct a judicial inquiry into the incident. This inquiry will be done by a retired judge of the High Court.
The violence that took place in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday has created a ruckus in the entire state. Akhilesh said that the BJP government is committing more atrocities on farmers than the British rule.
