An agreement has been reached after talks between the farmers and the officials regarding the Lakhimpur violence. The consensus was reached after six rounds of talks between the government and the farmers. The Yogi government has announced a compensation of Rs 45 lakh to the families of the deceased. A family member of the deceased will be given a government job. Along with this 10 lakh will be given to the injured. It has also promised to conduct a judicial inquiry into the incident. This inquiry will be done by a retired judge of the High Court.

The violence that took place in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday has created a ruckus in the entire state. SP president Akhilesh Yadav sat on a dharna on the road after being stopped from going to Lakhimpur in Lucknow. Akhilesh said that the BJP government is committing more atrocities on farmers than the British rule. He also demanded the resignation of the Union Minister of State for Home and financial assistance of Rs 2 crore each to the farmers. After this, the police took him into custody.

On the way to Priyanka Khimpur, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi was also taken into custody by the police. He has been kept in the guest house of Sitapur. Here Priyanka Gandhi protested by sweeping the guest house room. This video of him is going viral.
