Will Lalu Prasad Yadav be able to handle the battle for supremacy in Rashtriya Janata Dal and their family?

The battle for succession and supremacy in the family of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad seems to be reaching a turning point.

Tej Pratap Yadav's latest statement came on Saturday, in which he has accused his younger brother and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav of keeping his father and party supremo Lalu Prasad hostage.

Without naming Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, he said that there are four-five people who are not allowing Lalu Prasad to come to Patna. Almost a year has passed since Lalu Ji came out of jail, but Patna has not been allowed to come even once. He has been kept hostage and kept in Delhi.

Tej Pratap Yadav showed his rebellious attitude openly on Saturday in the training camp of his organization Chhatra Janshakti Parishad. During this, he also targeted the party's state president Jagdanand Singh and said that "some people are dreaming of becoming the national president of RJD and I will not let their dream come true".

He also accused Yuva RJD's state president Qari Soheb of duping a woman of two lakh rupees and questioned why "action is not being taken against her".

Opponents' chance

He also accused RJD of being run by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and said that "those who removed Akash Yadav from the post of student RJD president are now giving protection to Qari Soheb".

In this episode, opposition party leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav gave his stand on Sunday and said, "Lalu Prasad has done many such works by which the people of the country and Bihar recognize him. He has been the Chief Minister and Railway Minister for a long time. He has also made two prime ministers and also got LK Advani arrested. The talk of taking Lalu Ji hostage does not match his personality.

At the same time, the party's state president Jagdanand Singh does not consider this issue to be a topic of discussion. But Tej Pratap Yadav's statement sitting on the ruling NDA alliance in the state has got an issue.

where is lalu

On this issue, the state's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party MP and former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said, "Lalu Prasad has been the Chief Minister, Kingmaker and Union Minister, so his security should be ensured.

It should be found out who is stopping him from coming to Patna? RJD calls itself the party of the month, but why are the doors of Lalu-Rabri's house now closed to common workers?"

On the other hand, Janata Dal United's chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar took a dig at this and said, "Who has taken whom hostage, it is an internal matter of RJD, but there is a senior citizen maintenance law in Bihar. If someone does not do this, then application to the office-bearers." can be given. There is such a provision here."

Amidst the political turmoil in the party and the family, RJD has announced the names of its candidates, separating the Congress in the by-elections to be held in Tarapur and Kusheshwarsthan assembly seats. It has also been announced that party supremo Lalu Prasad will reach Patna to take charge of the by-election.

what could happen next?

In the context of Lalu Prasad's coming to Patna amidst the controversy between the party and the family, senior journalist Ravi Upadhyay says, "Tej Pratap Yadav is not getting importance in the party. Now Tej Pratap has become a dilemma for the party and the family.

Tej Pratap Yadav cannot break the party, yes he can create trouble for the party. The arrival of Lalu Prasad Yadav in the by-elections for two assembly seats is an indication that Lalu will try to bridge the gap between the two brothers on the pretext of his election tour.

Senior journalist Nachiketa Narayan, on the other hand, denies any political relevance of the entire episode. He says, "Tej Pratap Yadav has behaved like this many times in the last six years. Recently he formed the Chhatra Janshakti Parishad and formed the Lalu-Rabri Morcha to protest against the ticket cut of his people in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

If his stature has become smaller than his younger brother Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, then only Tejashwi is not responsible for it. Lalu Ji also agrees with this. Tej Pratap Yadav may not be able to understand these gestures and Lalu Ji's arrival in Patna is also believed to put an end to this conflict.
