Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on various national commissions and the BJP-led central government, accusing them of turning a blind eye to the alleged atrocities on Bengali-speaking migrant people in BJP-ruled states.
National commissions turned a blind eye - Mamata Banerjee.
At an administrative review meeting in Birbhum district, Mamata raised the question that various central commissions take immediate action even if a lizard bites someone in Bengal, but when women are raped or burnt alive in BJP-ruled states, they remain silent.
The Chief Minister urged migrant workers from Bengal living in other states to return home. Assured that there is no problem with work in Bengal now.
Suvendu accused Mamata of sharing a fake video.
BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari also accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of posting a fake video of Delhi Police beating up a Bengali-speaking woman and her child and called it misleading. Demanding action against Mamata, Suvendu said that the Chief Minister should be held accountable under the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
Meanwhile, Suvendu's younger brother and Lok Sabha MP from Kanthi, Soumyendu Adhikari, filed a complaint against Mamata by giving a letter to the Cyber Crime Police Station of the Delhi Police on Tuesday in the case of posting a fake video.
