The increase in the price of all types of milk has come into effect from Monday, June 3, in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) as well as other markets. The company last changed the prices of its liquid milk in February 2023.
Mother Dairy said in a statement that it is increasing the prices of its liquid milk by Rs 2 per liter in all markets from June 3, 2024. The increase in consumer price has been done mainly to compensate the producers for the increased production cost. It has been seeing an increase for more than a year.
In Delhi-NCR, Mother Dairy's full cream milk will now be available at Rs 68 per liter, while toned at Rs 56 and double-toned milk at Rs 50 per liter. Buffalo milk will cost Rs 72 and cow milk at Rs 58 per liter. Token milk (wholesale milk) will be sold at Rs 54 per liter.
Earlier, the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) had said that given the increase in the total cost of operation and production of milk, the price of all types of Amul milk was increased by Rs 2 per liter from Monday. This will increase the price of Amul milk pouches by Rs 2 per liter in all markets across the country.
