Salary not taken during 2020-21

 

Richest Indian Mukesh Ambani did not take any salary from his flagship firm Reliance Industries Limited in the financial year (2020-21) ended 31 March 2021. He had voluntarily given up his salary due to the coronavirus pandemic affecting business and the economy. Reliance itself had given this information in its annual report last year. The company was told that Mukesh Ambani's remuneration for the financial year 2020-21 was "nil".

 

15 crores/year salary was taken in 2019-20

 

Mukesh Ambani had received a salary of Rs 15 crore from the company in the financial year 2019-20. He has been drawing an annual salary of Rs 15 crore since the financial year 2008-09. Since then he has not increased his salary. If it is seen month by month, then it is around Rs 1.25 crore per month salary. This includes their salary, perquisites, allowances, and commission. At the same time, his wife Nita Ambani also takes a salary from the company.
