NHRC notice to Punjab and UP government for pulling a suitcase with a sleeping child

New Delhi: During the lockdown, a picture of a migrant woman dragging the child in a hanging position on the briefcase was uncovered on the Agra highway. Now in this case, the National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the governments of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. The Commission said in a statement on Friday that it is well aware of the unprecedented situation and the Central and State Governments are making sincere efforts to overcome the difficulties faced during the lockdown.

 

 

He added, "But surprisingly, the pain and suffering of the child and his family was felt by many people on the way, leaving the local authorities." The commission said that if the local authorities were cautious, that troubled family And some relief could be provided immediately to other people facing such problems. He said, "This incident is like a violation of human rights and it requires the intervention of NHRC."

 

The NHRC said that it has issued a notice to the chief secretaries of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and the District Magistrate of Agra to seek a detailed report within four weeks.
