New Delhi, March 20 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday greeted people on the eve of spring festivals.
"On the joyous occasion of Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, Gudi Padava, Chetti Chand, Navreh and Sajibu Cheiraoba, I send greetings and good wishes to all my fellow citizens celebrating these festivals in different parts of the country," he said in a message.
"May the celebrations promote among our people the values of tolerance and fellow feeling and strengthen their traditional bonds of amity, understanding and harmony," he said.
As these festivals mark the advent of spring, Mukherjee described them as "a time of joy, hope and creativity as nature unravels its limitless bounty".
