Rahul Gandhi surrounded the issue of misbehavior with MP, Women's Commission urged Birla and Dhankar to take action.

In the wake of BJP MP Phangnan Konyak's complaint of misbehavior during a protest in the Parliament premises, the National Commission for Women on Friday said that it has requested Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar to take action against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

 

The National Commission for Women issued a statement saying that it has taken suo motu cognizance of Thursday's incident and immediate action should be taken to deal with such incidents and maintain the dignity of women MPs.

 

The Commission expressed concern over the matter and stressed that Parliament should set an example of respect and equality. At the same time, the incident was termed as a direct insult to the dignity and rights of women MPs. However, the Commission did not share the full content of the letter.

Now BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Phangnon Konyak has made serious allegations against Rahul Gandhi. The BJP MP said that we were protesting. Then, Rahul Gandhi came very close to me. I became uncomfortable with Rahul coming close. I did not like it.

The BJP MP has written a letter to the Rajya Sabha Chairman. He further said in the letter that Rahul Gandhi started shouting at me. Whatever happened today is very sad, this should not happen. We did not like his way of threatening. I have also complained to the Chairman.

 

Rahul Gandhi's clarification on the allegations

Rahul Gandhi has given clarification on the allegations of the BJP. He said that I was going inside the Parliament, but BJP MPs were stopping me. They threatened me. Priyanka Gandhi and Kharge ji were also pushed.
