
The CBI is investigating the rape and murder of a female trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College-Hospital in Kolkata, West Bengal. They inspected the spot at the hospital on Sunday. Apart from this, they also inspected the emergency building, boys' hostel, and principal's office of the hospital. Meanwhile, West Bengal minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Chandrima Bhattacharya demanded that the CBI make a strong case so that the culprits are given the harshest punishment. Earlier on August 29, the CBI also reached the police morgue of RG Kar Medical College-Hospital to investigate.
The CBI completed the second round of polygraph tests on the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandeep Ghosh. The test was conducted by a team of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory. CBI officials also conducted a polygraph test of the arrested accused Sanjay Roy. The Indian Medical Association suspended the membership of the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandeep Ghosh.
